1-Click PPAs are standardized and simplified PPAs offered through Otark’s platform that enable buyers and sellers to seamlessly trade renewable energy. Otark operates its own clearing balancing group, positioned between the seller’s Direct Marketer balance group and the buyer’s Energy Supplier balance group, handling all physical nomination and delivery of energy between the two parties — removing the need for buyers and sellers to manage balancing logistics independently. During onboarding, each customer designates the BRP responsible for energy management within their corresponding balance group. Your cooperation as a BRP is needed to enable fullfillment:
  • Initially: Configure the balance group settings (EIC + TSO) for the customer.
  • While the PPA is active: View, validate and nominate next-day nominations between Otark and the balance group(s). Otark provides daily export files downloadable from an SFTP server (see BRP Export Formats) for this purpose.

BRP Portal

A dedicated BRP self-service portal is currently in development. In the meantime until release, BRPs will be contacted by the Otark customer and an Otark account manager as part of onboarding, with the intent to:
  • set up customer to balance group / TSO mappings
  • provide credentials for FTPS/SFTP access (daily nomination exports as CSV/Excel-files)

1-Click PPA Nominations

1-Click PPA nominations are calculated and proided every day at 12:00 PM (Europe/Berlin timezone). Revisions may happen throughout the following hours, which will trigger new files being created in archive/ and the existing ones being updated in current/.

FTPS/SFTP File Structure

Connect to the FTP server with the given URL and credentials. For SFTP, public key authentication is recommended (you will need to provide your public key), though username/password is also supported.

File Formats

Two formats are available for each nomination export:
  • CSV — Intended primarily for machine reading.
  • XLSX — Better suited for human consumption, but can also be read by machines. XLSX files contain more context information.
