On the Otark trading platform, customers may conclude PPAs that are traded through Otark Energy. As part of this, a customer declares which BRP is responsible for managing its connection to the energy grid. The BRP’s cooperation is needed to fulfill the PPAs:
  • Initially: Provide Otark Energy with the balance group (EIC + TSO) of the customer.
  • While the PPA is active: View next-day nominations between Otark and their balance group(s) and flag any inconsistencies with their own reportings.

BRP Portal

A dedicated BRP portal is currently in planning. In the meantime, BRPs can contact mail@otark.energy for the following services:
  • Provide customer-to-balance-group mappings
  • Get username and password for SFTP access (daily nomination exports as CSV/Excel)
The BRP will be verified by sending a confirmation code to the email address registered with BDEW.

Next-Day Nominations

Next-day nominations are calculated every day at 10:00 AM (Europe/Berlin timezone) and will be available for download by 10:30 AM at the latest. Revisions may happen throughout the following hours, which will trigger new files being created in archive/ and the existing ones being updated in current/.

File Formats

Two formats are available for each nomination export:
  • CSV — Intended primarily for machine reading.
  • XLSX — Better suited for human consumption, but can also be read by machines. XLSX files contain more context information.
